PowerPoint Presentation with Embedded Video discussing basic concepts of Social Media. Activity: Crayon and Paper creation of a Profile (Use Faux Facebook Graphic Organizer: Faux Facebook Profile Worksheet).

Hour 2: Create Facebook Page
Group the people by Table.
Demonstrate creating a Facebook Account (This will act as pre-training for account creation)
-Students will Create a Facebook Account for Professional Use (Active Learning)

-Students Will Create a Facebook Page
Demonstrate finding a Facebook Page
-Students will find the facebook Pages of their Table mates.

Hour 3: Perform Authentic Assessment
- Students will create Facebook Page simulating a class.
- Create a page that includes a Syllabus, a Discussion Post, a Poll, and a link to an outside resource. (This is an active learning assignment as the students take prior knowledge to create something new.)
- Assess Each Page Using a Rubric.
Hour 4: Create LinkedIn and Twitter Profiles
Demonstrate Creation of LinkedIn Profile
-Students create a LinkedIn Profile
-Students Enter an entry into prior experience
- Student add one other team member as a Contact
Demonstrate Creation of Twitter Account
-Students create a Twitter Account
-Students enter information into profile
-Students follow at least one other class member
Hour 5: Discuss next steps, fears, and potentials of Social Media in a learning environment
